Day 1 - first meeting, weigh-in

Over the last year, I've watched my best friend transform her body by following the Weight Watchers program. Today she earned her "Lifetime" status, which means that she has been at her goal weight for 6 weeks and plans to maintain from here on out. She looks... fantastic. I decided that I'm ready to look fantastic, too. I'm ready to be in control of my body and my health.

So today I went to a meeting and weighed in. It was a little scary, but I am so excited to be getting started. I realized that the only way to do this the right way is to be honest. Honest with myself, mostly, about where I'm at, where I want to be, and what I need to do to get there.

First thing- where I'm at. Today I weigh 241.6 pounds. Whew, that's a scary number.

Next- where I want to be. 140 pounds. Much less scary. I could say that one over and over again.

And lastly- what I need to do. What I will do. I will track my points every day. I will move more. I will attend my meeting every week. I will lose 100 pounds.
